It was the first time i had doctored a dayrider and it was a moday.
My girl had got up and gone to work dressed in black. I had arranged to meet her later on in the day after my dentists appointment (i was now attending the dentists every couple of months due to gum disease, the dentist had told me i may start to lose my teeth by thirty) which my mother had arranged for me. She told me she would pay but i had to go collect the money from her house on the other side of the city centre in the more middle class part of town.
Recently i had been occaisionally experiencing what i thought were mild forms of anxiety attacks, this would usually happen the day after a long drinking session as it had the previous day. Hugs and hot chocolate had cured it for about half an hour but it had returned if somewhat milder until sleep. I had thought that awakening on moday morning this inexplicable worry would have left my gut but strange dreams (delivering flowers to the wrong people, attemting to deepfry eggy-bread in the backs of a moving vehicles) through the night had just caused more stress. It was a beautiful sunny day so i sat on the back door step with a pork pie and coca-cola and tried to shake off these unwanted feelings.
I had been talking about doctoring dayriders for about a week now after i had been informed of an aquaintance who was doing this by doctoring the numbers with a pen. I had decided that if one had a selection of bus tickets at your disposal you could cut out and collage them to produce a more authentic valid dayrider. I found my girlfriends tweezers and small scissors and put one together out of three different tickets in the end also using said aqquaintances pen technique to fix the 1 which had half come off onto my finger with the super glue.
